I was passing through Reidsville and stopped off at the Buzz for a coffee just before closing time one rainy evening and was welcomed as if I was a regular with a most generous hospitality, in minutes found myself in a circle of friends. Food and coffee excellent, company simply delightful. Leaving the next morning I stopped over for a coffee and ended up spending the entire day with my new found friends. This is one absolutely superb coffee house, I can only recommend it, as far as I’m concerned worth a detour from the main Raleigh – Asheville road. Now I’m back home in Oxford in England I look back to my visit with serious nostalgia.
Thank you very much all you fine folks.
Phil
Greetings! I was pleased to find you all during my travels through Reidsville last week, and disappointed not to be able to return a few days later as I had planned.
What a fabulous spot! I love that you have an eye to the local–really retaining what’s special about Reidsville. Everything we ordered, from the drinks to the soup/sandwiches, to the baked goods was excellent and very reasonably priced.
I can’t wait to come back and visit soon! Best of luck to you.
Cheers,
Amy
I am so proud that Reidsville has a cozy coffee shop now:-)~ this is not your average uptight coffee chain that I’ve experienced in larger cities. You will find that there are people with a variety of personalities, ages, and interest that frequent Backstreet Buzz daily. I love the food, entertainment, atmosphere, customer service…I could go on and on! I have told all of my friends to try the peach smoothie, its is the best I think I’ve ever had! I also like the art on display from local artist…it really adds a nice touch to the “homie” feel that you experience the second you walk in the door.
I absolutely love your website, it very attractive. I will definately visite the cafe sometime soon.
Mmmmhmmm! Your Gumbo was outstanding! I loved your hot chocolate too. Nice work.
I absolutely love your coffeehouse!! The atmosphere is inviting from the minute you see the front door. The scones and cookies are amazing… both melted in my mouth and I could sense all the fresh butter. The latte was wonderful as well as the hospitality. I can’t wait to frequent your coffeeshop! Such a delight!
Backstreet reminds my wife and I of our years in multiple college towns. We love the atmosphere and the food is great ! We come as much as we are able.
Love it!

Step in the front door and be transported out of Reidsville and into a “Central Perk” kind of place, where Friends hang out. You will feel like a regular within 5 minutes of your first visit. It has an artsy vibe that the ‘Ville sorely needed. The coffee and food are simply fabulous, you cannot go wrong with any choice. My favorites, obviously, are the scones and my hubby and I have developed quite the scone habit! Live music is just icing on this cake. Recently they had a poetry night which I was not able to attend, so I hope they make that a regular occurence. I may even bring my bongos and tap to my favorite Jack Kerouac beat.
I was visiting from another state and asked where I could find free wireless internet and some food. Backstreet Buzz was highly recommended as the place to go. I found the atmosphere relaxing, the food extemely good, prices reasonable and I was able to
send a few e-mails while I ate. On a 0 – 10 scale, I rate Backstreet Buzz a “10″
